Terms and Conditions for Drivers – Rent and Ride


Welcome to Rent and Ride Driver App ("App"), operated by Rent and Ride ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the App as a driver partner. By registering, accessing, or using the App, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App immediately.


1. Eligibility & Registration


1.1. You must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driving license to register as a driver.

1.2. You must provide valid documents, including but not limited to:

     • Valid driving license

     • Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC)

     • Commercial Permit (if applicable)

     • Insurance Certificate

     • Aadhaar Card / PAN Card

     • Bank Account details for payments

1.3. You must have a smartphone with internet access to use the App.

1.4. Your registration is subject to verification and approval by the Company.


2. Driver Responsibilities


2.1. You must ensure your vehicle is well-maintained, legally registered, and insured at all times.

2.2. You are responsible for passenger safety and comfort while providing rides.

2.3. You must comply with all traffic laws and government regulations applicable in your city/state.

2.4. You must maintain professional behavior and not engage in misconduct (e.g., harassment, discrimination, overcharging, or illegal activities) or asking money to customers.

2.5. You must not cancel rides without a valid reason or deliberately delay rides.

2.6. You must not drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any illegal substances.

2.7. You must not share your driver account with others.

2.8. You are not allowed to share two Customers / Clients at one time.

2.9. The pricings decided or agreed is between you & company only & not to be shared to clients.

2.10. You are not supposed to collect payments directly from clients until agreed or said by company.


3. Commission, Ride Share & Payments


3.1. Ride Rent Share: 25% of the total ride fare will be deducted as the service fee for the Rent and Ride App. The remaining 75% will be paid to the driver.

3.2. Earnings and Payouts: Payments will be credited to your registered bank account as per the Company’s payment cycle (e.g., weekly, bi-weekly) or after each trip.

3.3. Incentives: Additional incentives may be provided based on ride completion, peak hours, or promotional schemes and as per clients service ratings.

3.4. Deductions: Any penalties, outstanding payments, or deductions (such as tax or service fees) will be adjusted in payouts.

3.5. GST and Taxes: You are responsible for any applicable GST or income tax as per Indian tax laws.


4. Ride Cancellations & Penalties


4.1. If you cancel rides frequently, your access to the App may be restricted or suspended.

4.2. Unreasonable delays, misconduct, or rejection of confirmed rides may lead to temporary or permanent deactivation and will come under penalty charge.

4.3. If passengers report any serious complaint (such as overcharging, harassment, or rude behavior), necessary legal or disciplinary action may be taken.


5. Ratings & Customer Feedback


5.1. Passengers can rate and review their ride experience. Your ratings impact your access to ride requests.

5.2. Poor ratings due to repeated complaints may result in temporary suspension or permanent deactivation.

5.3. You may contact customer support to dispute unfair reviews with valid proof.


6. App Usage & Compliance


6.1. You must not use third-party software, bots, or fake GPS locations to manipulate bookings.

6.2. The Company reserves the right to monitor and track rides for safety, compliance, and quality control.

6.3. Misuse of the App, fraud, or violation of policies may result in legal action and account suspension. [Daman Diu Jurisdiction will be applicable]


7. Insurance & Liability


7.1. You must have valid vehicle insurance covering third-party liability.

7.2. The Company is not responsible for any damage, theft, or accident involving your vehicle.

7.3. In case of an accident, you must immediately inform the authorities and cooperate with insurance claims.


8. Account Suspension & Termination


8.1. The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

     • You violate these Terms or legal regulations.

     • You have repeated customer complaints.

     • You engage in fraudulent or unsafe activities.

8.2. Appeal Process: You may appeal against suspension or termination by contacting customer support.


9. Privacy & Data Protection


9.1. The Company collects and stores your personal data for operational and security purposes.

9.2. Your data will not be shared with third parties except as required by law.

9.3. The Company may use your contact details to provide updates, promotions, and notifications.


10. Modifications to Terms


10.1. The Company reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.

10.2. Updates will be notified via the App, and continued usage will indicate acceptance of changes.


11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution


11.1. These Terms are governed by Indian laws.

11.2. Any disputes shall be resolved through mutual discussion, failing which they shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in [Daman and Diu].

Terms and Conditions for Users – Rent and Ride


Welcome to Rent and Ride ("App"), a taxi booking service operated by Rent and Ride ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the App to book rides. By registering, accessing, or using the App, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App immediately.


1. Eligibility & Registration


1.1. You must be at least 18 years old to register and use the App. If you are under 18, parental consent is required.

1.2. You must provide accurate personal details, including:

     • Full Name

     • Mobile Number

     • Email ID (optional)

     • Payment Details (if applicable)

1.3. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and must not share login details with others.

1.4. The Company reserves the right to verify user details and restrict access if fraudulent information is provided.


2. Booking & Ride Process


2.1. You can book a ride using the App by selecting the pickup and drop-off location.

2.2. Upon booking confirmation, the assigned driver’s details (name, vehicle number, contact number) will be shared.

2.3. Drivers may contact you for location verification or ride-related queries.

2.4. Ride fares are estimated based on distance, demand, and traffic conditions. Final fare may vary depending on actual route taken.

2.5. You must be available at the pickup location on time to avoid ride cancellations.


3. Ride Cancellation & No-Show Policy


3.1. Cancellation by Users:

     • You may cancel a ride before the driver reaches your pickup point.

     • A cancellation fee may apply if canceled after a certain time limit.

3.2. Cancellation by Drivers:

     • A driver may cancel a ride due to unavailability, safety concerns, or other valid reasons.

     • If canceled frequently, users may experience account restrictions.

3.3. No-Show Policy:

     • If you fail to board the vehicle within a reasonable time after the driver arrives, you may be charged a no-show fee.


4. Fare, Payments & Refunds


4.1. Fare Calculation:

     • Fares are calculated based on distance, route, peak hours, and traffic.

     • Toll charges, parking fees, and other additional charges may apply.

4.2. Payment Methods:

     • Payments can be made via cash, UPI, debit/credit cards, wallets, or other supported payment methods.

     • The Company is not responsible for any payment failures due to third-party payment gateways.

4.3. Refund Policy:

     • Cancellation fees are non-refundable.

     • In case of overcharging or incorrect fare deduction, you may request a refund within 7 days via customer support.


5. User Responsibilities & Conduct


5.1. You must ensure a safe and respectful ride experience for yourself and the driver.

5.2. You must not engage in misconduct, including:

     • Harassment or abusive behavior towards drivers.

     • Damaging the vehicle or stealing property.

     • Using the service for illegal activities.

5.3. If found violating conduct rules, your account may be permanently banned.

5.4. You must wear seat belts and follow all safety guidelines during the ride.

5.5. Requesting Driers for over speeding will be consider as violation of Rules.

5.6. Halting for any lunch & dinner breaks in local trips (within 250km) will be chargeable.


6. Ratings & Reviews


6.1. You may rate drivers and provide feedback after ride completion.

6.2. Ratings help improve service quality, and repeated low ratings may affect driver availability.

6.3. The Company may investigate and take action based on complaints.


7. Liability & Disclaimers


7.1. Limited Liability:

     • The Company acts only as an intermediary platform connecting drivers and riders.

     • We are not responsible for accidents, delays, theft, or misconduct by drivers.

7.2. User Safety:

     • Users are advised to verify the driver details before boarding.

     • In case of an emergency, users should contact local authorities or customer support.

7.3. Service Availability:

     • We do not guarantee ride availability in all locations or at all times.

     • Ride fares may surge during peak hours or high demand periods.


8. Account Suspension & Termination


8.1. The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate user accounts if:

     • False information is provided during registration.

     • Repeated ride cancellations or misuse of the platform occur.

     • Fraudulent transactions or chargebacks are reported.

8.2. Suspended users may appeal via customer support for account reactivation.

     • Fake Reviews.


9. Privacy & Data Protection


9.1. We collect and store user data, including ride history and payment details, for service operations.

9.2. User data is protected and not shared with third parties except as required by law.

9.3. The Company may send promotional messages, which users can opt-out of via settings.


10. Modifications to Terms


10.1. The Company reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.

10.2. Updates will be notified via the App, and continued usage indicates acceptance of changes.


11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution


11.1. These Terms are governed by Indian laws.

11.2. Any disputes shall be resolved through mutual discussion. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in [Daman & Diu].
